Jim began his artistic journey at the Center For The Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan where he majored in Jewellery Design & Creation. He received three annual scholarships, and graduated earning a four year certificate in 1975. Upon the completion of his education Jim gained valuable experience by working for various jewellery companies in both Canada and the United States.

Jim moved to Canada in 1978 and founded Alpine Custom Jewellers & Repair as a part time business to serve local clients. In 1990 Jim went full time with Alpine Custom Jewellers & Repair making his services available to both Canada and the United States.

For many years now Jim has been perfecting his Hand Engraving and Diamond Setting abilities. He has taken advanced Engraving and Setting classes held by the GRS company to further his chosen specialties.

 

 

With an ongoing study of the arts Jim has enjoyed success in the fields of Hand Engraving and Diamond Setting. "Never stop learning."
